This morning my girls, my husband and I woke up to an awesome surprise...proof the Easter Bunny had been to our house. It wasn't the eggs in the backyard or the baskets in the kitchen. It was all of the Easter Bunny's footprints on the sidewalk leading up to our front door. Our next door neighbor gave us hints about what she does the eve of Easter but I really was blown away.
She makes a huge cardboard stencil and uses flour to make the prints. When she told me about this I assumed there would be three or four but there were at least 50 of them. The prints were so vibrant the girls could see them from their windows. We are truly blessed to live next to people who still continue this tradition even though their child is grown. No 'pin' for me today. I'm going to enjoy the family time and cherish the giddy moments my girls seem to be having this morning until they come down from their sugar high.
That is awesome!

So cute! We do the same thing except we use baby powder and put the tracks inside our house, leading to the basket. I blogged about it yesterday if you want to see how they turned out. I love how big your tracks are. Ours are much smaller as I use the side of my hand. Still makes for a fun Easter morning! Love your pictures from the big day. Thanks for linking them up to Happily Mother After:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use baby powder instead! I'm so happy to have found your blog. I love any excuse to take photos! I've linked up with your blog so others can enjoy it too.
DeleteThanks, Kimberly! I love the support! :) Also, wanted to let you know I am featuring your blog at tomorrow's party!!!

Hope to see you on my blog:)
Thanks for viewing the blog. I checked out your site and love it. In my previous jobs (product development of textiles) I traveled to India quite often. It's one of my most loved countries- the people, the culture, the food...I will keep you're blog top of mind.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
