Breakfast Parties- The Next Big Thing

Last night my husband and I had our Valentine's Day party which turned out great.  After dinner, I kept walking by the dessert table to size up the other desserts people brought.  Yes...I will be the first to admit that I'm obsessed with sweets and am also very competitive.  I'm proud to say the Oreo Balls were the first dessert to go and no they were not solely consumed by my husband and I.  Not only did we have a lovely night but this morning we had an awesome surprise waiting for us.

My parents helped my 3.5 year old set up a Valentine's Day breakfast party.  My husband and I assumed sleeping in until 8:00am was our Valentine's Day present but we were mistaken.  Breakfast was wonderful: a decorated table with heart doilies and confetti, cream brulee french toast, blueberry muffins, bacon, blackberries, coffee and a wonderful heart brownie for dessert.  While classical music played in the background we cheersed my 3.5 year old for a wonderful meal.  She was so proud of herself and I love seeing how excited she gets when she feels responsible for putting together something so special for my husband and I. Although I loved eating all of the food, I especially loved how the breakfast party brought together my family.
